IKEA Strategic Alternatives for US Market Expansion

IKEA employ for following strategic alternative to further penetrate the U.S market.

• More focus on customer service by offering more convenience to customers by allowing them to purchase products online and its home delivery. Establish CRM for customer record keeping and communicate with them for new product offerings and promotions.

• Accurate selection of store locations and place the products as per the locality needs. For example, IKEA can showcase their existing standard designs on stores located near universities and showcase expensive custom designs on stores for high end customers looking for classic, expensive designs and superior services.

• Manufacture the higher end products for the Americans willing to pay more for high quality, classic design and superior services.
