Rural Life is Better than Urban Life

Every one has its own taste; some are in the favor of urban life wile others like rural life. Both rural and urban life has some merits and demerits. I am in the favor of rural life on the basis of following advantages of rural life over urban life.

One of the important advantage of rural life is fresh environment. There is no pollution such as noise pollution, water pollution, and air pollution. On the other hand pollution is widespread in the urban areas.

Fresh food is available only in the rural areas. Most of the food in urban areas comes from rural areas but it takes time to transfer food from rural areas to urban ones. In this transfer the food becomes unhygienic and causes various diseases of stomach.

In rural areas there is a variety of food such as meat, butter, milk, fresh vegetable, fruits etc. The taste and quality of this food is far better than that of urban food. Most of the food available in the rural areas can not be transferred to the urban areas because they are perishable.

Since there is no pollution in the rural areas and the food available is fresh and hygienic therefore rural areas have fewer diseases and people are very healthy. On the other hand in urban areas due to pollution, unhygienic food, crowding etc the diseases are increasing rapidly.

There is overcrowding in urban areas. This creates various problems such as difficulties in finding residential houses, diseases, crimes, pollution, difficulties in transport etc. Contrary, in rural areas the number of people is very small as compared to the urban areas. They have spacious residential houses and they are safe from the problems created by the overcrowding.

In urban areas sanitation is a major problem, particularly in the developing countries like Pakistan. In case of rainfall, water remains on the road for weeks and it provides the base for mosquitoes production. On the other hand in rural areas there is no problem of sanitation at all because the area is spacious and it provides the route for water to pass easily from it.

In urban areas crime is increasing rapidly. The ratio of crime is greater in urban areas than in rural areas. There are various reason for it such as increasing number of people in urban areas, law and order situation problems etc.

Life is more secure in rural areas as compared to urban areas. This is true because in urban areas there are various kinds of disputes, bomb explosions, protests, crimes etc. Similarly there are various other crimes as well such as robbery, mobile snatching, target killing, etc. These crimes make it difficult for the citizens to live a prosperous life.

The people of urban areas have no social life. They are cut from the family members, friends and relatives for weeks or even for months. The reason is that they are very busy therefore they can not give time to their relatives. On the other hand people of rural areas have a good social life. They give proper time to their family members, friends and relatives. This is very helpful as it creates love and affection among them.

The people of urban areas are greedy as compared to the rural areas. They always think about the profit and money. In urban areas there is competition among people for money which ultimately results in greediness. On the other hand in rural areas people are not greedy as they are not competing for money. They are more concerned for self esteem.

The expenses of people in urban areas are low as compared to the urban areas. The reason is that in urban areas people have to pay utility bills, taxes, transportation expenses, expensive food items etc. whereas the people of rural areas are free from these charges.

In the light of above discussion we can easily conclude that rural life is better than urban life. Only the facilities of urban areas are not provided to the rural areas otherwise rural life is best option for everyone.
