Evaluation research is one of the definite forms of a social research. Evaluation is generally conducted in order to know about the outcomes and conclusion as according to the stated criteria and in research actually to examine how the program worked. To explain the evaluation research there is;
Introduction to Evaluation Research
Evaluation is actually the examination of standards and subject matter of some special features. Evaluation also explains the assessment in wider terms. As it is known that the assessment comprises of the collection of data and information, while evaluation consider such information in developing certain methods. Evaluation research involves goals and strategies, as goals are the objective of the certain project and strategies are developed to accomplish such goals. The valuable goal examined in the evaluation is to know about the feedback from the contributors, suppliers and distributors etc. while strategies involve some model for attaining the goals. Such models include:
• Scientific model
• Management oriented system model
• Qualitative model
• Participant oriented model
All above that there are different types of evaluation research but most commonly known and used are two namely outcome evaluation( collect the information and describes a range of changes) and process evaluation( number of people as well as their work accomplishment).
An Evaluation Planning Cycle
[large]Evaluation research also involves the cycle for the evaluation as well as planning. This cycle consists of two stages planning phase and evaluation phase. Planning phase is developed to illustrate the formulization of the problem, after that the step is conceptualization in which different objectives and strategies are made to analyze the alternatives. Another step is detailing in which all the alternatives are described in detail. The further steps are evaluation and implementation in which all the alternatives are evaluated and judged and then there is implication of the best selected alternatives. Though this is the planning phase but most of the actions are done on the basis of evaluation.
Evaluation phase comprises of different stages, which are stated as formulation in which all goals and objectives are evaluated including the hypothesis. Conceptualization is the next step which derives the conclusions and outcomes. This step is considered to be the most important in the evaluation phase. The step design generates the details about the corresponding components then the analysis which provide the information of the project. Utilization, which is the last step in evaluation phase which concludes all the evaluation and utilize them in specific position.
An Evaluation Culture
[linkunit]Evaluation itself is not important until the outcomes are not generated from it as by the managers in an organization and utilize their results in originating models. Evaluation occupied no space but improve the research. an evaluation culture plays a significant role in the evaluation research for the accomplishment of the goals of an organization. The evaluation culture involves some basic factors in its creation. Like for the development of the evaluation culture presence of the employees should be considered. Senior management must perform their duties of leadership and employees should improve their skills and determined towards their work.
